Unprecedented turnout for Qatar 2022 ticket sales

The registration for the first phase of ticket applications for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 by lottery system will close on Tuesday after witnessing an unprecedented global turnout.
FIFA called on fans to quickly submit applications through the lottery system. The results will be announced after March 8.
On Tuesday, the window for ticket application via the FIFA website will close at 1 pm Mecca time.

The percentage of tickets allocated to the first stage constitutes one-third of the total tickets, which is over 3 million.
This opportunity provides a greater chance of obtaining a seat during the World Cup matches rather than the stages of applying with priority reservation. The first stage witnessed a large turnout in which the seats ran out hours after its launch.
By submitting a reservation request, the chances of obtaining tickets at nominal prices for Qatari fans will increase, as the ticket price is QR40, the cheapest since the 1990 World Cup in Italy.
The first stage of ticket sales for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 started on January 19.
