Qatar has so far administered more than 250,000 COVID-19 booster vaccine doses to protect its population from the virus.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said a total of 254,963 COVID-19 booster vaccine doses have been administered to date.
The MoPH said a total of 5,182,058 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered since the start of the National COVID-19 Vaccination Programme.
As many as 9,461 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the past 24 hours, it added.
With this, the MoPH said, 86.2 percent of the total population have now been fully vaccinated with two doses.
Meanwhile, Qatar on Wednesday reported 443 new COVID-19 cases — 317 from within the community and 126 among travellers.
The MoPH said 139 people recovered from the virus during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases recovered in Qatar to 245,186.
