Minister discusses areas of cooperation with US team

Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani met with a delegation from the Global Advisory Council of the Wilson Center, on the occasion of their participation in the Doha Forum held from March 26 to March 27.
The officials reviewed the cooperation between Qatar and the US, and ways of enhancing them, especially in the commercial, investment, and industrial fields.
During the meeting, the minister welcomed the visiting American delegation, pointing to the importance of regular meetings to exchange views and develop the historical Qatari-US bond, and enhance coordination and mutual cooperation in areas of common interest.
The minister also underscored the strength of the relationships between Qatar and the US, as this year marks the 50th anniversary since diplomatic relations between the two nations were established.
The minister highlighted the economic policies Qatar has put in place to support the private sector and pointed to the incentives, legislations, and promising opportunities that allow American companies to expand and invest in Qatar.
