Kosovan President Vjosa Osmani met on Sunday with a delegation from Qatar Chamber led by its Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani.
The meeting, which was held at Sheraton Hotel on the sidelines of the Doha Forum, was also attended by QC First Vice-Chairman Mohamed bin Twar Al Kuwari and a number of board members.
The meeting touched on reviewing bilateral relations at commercial and economic fields and means to enhance them, as well as the investment climate and opportunities and the role it can be played by the private sector to develop trade between both sides.
The Kosovan president praised the strong relations between both the countries, noting that she is looking forward to enhancing these relations to higher levels especially in commercial and investment aspects.
She invited Qatari businessmen to visit her country and learn about opportunities galore in many sectors such as agriculture, mining, energy and others.
She said her country is looking forward to attracting Qatari investors to establish investments that generate jobs for Kosovan citizens.
On his part, the QC chairman paid tribute to the good relations between Qatar and Kosovo, noting that despite such relations, their commercial relations are still below the aspirations of both friendly countries.
He called on businessmen from both countries to benefit from such relations and work to level up their cooperation, especially that there are a wide range of opportunities in both countries in various sectors.
Sheikh Khalifa expressed the great interest to advance the relations between the two countries in many areas, especially in economic and commercial spheres, making it clear that Qatar Chamber strongly supports cooperation between business sectors in both countries.
Qatari investors are interested to get acquainted with the opportunities available in Kosovo, he stressed.
