Cabinet okays draft decision on entry visas for World Cup

The Cabinet has approved a draft decision of the Minister of Interior regarding entry visas for hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, took the decision on Wednesday.
At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet listened to the explanation given by Minister of Public Health HE Dr Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari on the latest developments to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Cabinet affirmed the continuation of the precautionary measures that have been taken to combat the pandemic.
The Cabinet approved two draft laws regulating the licensing of the use of a national product mark and its implementing regulations.
The draft law is consistent with the strategy of supporting national products, distinguishing them from other products, and giving them priority in government procurement.
The Cabinet also approved participation in the Hannover International Industrial Fair (Hannover Messe) in the Federal Republic of Germany from May 30 to June 2.
