The armed forces signed a number of agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) in the military fields during the third day of the Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX 2022).
The Amiri Air Forces signed an MoU with Rheinmetall Barzan (a subsidiary of Barzan Holdings), regarding an experimental anti-drone system. The MoU was signed on the Qatari Amiri Air forces’ side by Acting Commander of the Qatari Amiri Air Forces Staff Brigadier-General Rashid Ali Al Qashouti. Signing for Barzan Holdings was the Vice-President and head of the strategic procurement division, and for Rheinmetall Barzan Advanced Technologies’ the company’s CEO.
The military police signed a contract with the same company to upgrade its infrastructure. Commander of the Military Police Forces Staff Brigadier-General Rashid Mohammed Al Hajri signed the contract.
