Amir, Somali president discuss ways to strengthen relations

His Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with President of the sisterly Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo at Sheikh Abdullah Bin Jassim Majlis at the Amiri Diwan on Sunday.
During the meeting, cooperation relations between the two countries and the ways to develop them in various fields were reviewed. They also reviewed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
HH the Amir and the Somali president discussed the latest developments in Somalia. In this regard, the Somali president expressed his thanks and appreciation to HH the Amir for efforts of Qatar and its permanent support for the Somali people, especially in the development and economic fields.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Abdullah Al Thani. On the Somali side, it was attended by Minister of Trade and Industry Khalif Abdi Omar.
