Ambulance service well distributed across Qatar, says HMC official

Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) Ambulance Service is distributed well across Qatar geographically using a computerized system called Optima so that all areas are covered.
The ambulance service includes the ambulance vehicles, rapid response senior supervisor, rapid response critical care paramedic, ambulance response bicycle, golf cart for pedestrian area, 4 by 4 vehicles for off road and dunes, and the LifeFlight.
Speaking to Qatar Tribune Assistant Executive Director of the Ambulance Service Ali Darwish said, “This Optima helps us to distribute well so we can end up having resources distributed versus demands. We locate our ambulances where there are a lot of calls and congestion of the community.”
He reiterated that the Ambulance Service is well connected to the receiving facility by using communication as well as the Telemetry System.
