HYGIENE DEPARTMENT REMOVED 76,334 TONNES OF WASTE IN DECEMBER 2021

The General Hygiene Department in the Public Services Affairs Sector removed about 76,334 tonnes of waste, including household, construction and solid waste, in addition to 25,557 tonnes of random dumping waste in the month of December 2021. The department also removed 5,788 damaged tyres, 38 neglected directional panels, 548 dead animals and 225 abandoned cars, and issued 169 violations of the Public Hygiene Law. The department also implemented 1,625 requests for public service and provided 620 new waste containers, 926 container contracts and washed 8,986 containers. (TNN)
